Our Approach to Fees
In today’s travel landscape, thoughtful planning is only the beginning. Constantly changing airline policies, schedule disruptions, and on-the-ground complexities require experienced oversight well beyond the point of booking.
Our professional fee structure for comprehensive travel planning is designed to support both exceptional design and real-time trip management, allowing us to focus our expertise where it matters most—protecting your time, comfort, and peace of mind. Since 2019, clients have trusted Perspectives Travel to manage complex journeys with precision and care. Our fees reflect the depth of experience, discretion, and advocacy required to deliver that level of service.
How Travel Advisors Are Typically Compensated
Most travel agencies rely on a combination of planning fees and commissions that are bundled into the cost of your trip. First, you pay an upfront planning fee to begin working with an advisor. Then the advisor’s commission is built into supplier pricing and paid after travel—often without clear visibility into what you are paying for the travel itself versus the advisory service.
How Perspectives Travel Is Compensated for Comprehensive Travel Planning
Research & Design Fee
We begin with a research and design engagement that includes four hours of dedicated expertise. Time is tracked transparently, with updates provided along the way. Once your itinerary is finalized and travel documents are delivered, any remaining balance is settled.
Travel Management Fee
Rather than embedding commissions into your trip cost, we secure net pricing and are compensated directly for managing your travel. This structure allows us to act exclusively in your best interest—prioritizing value, flexibility, and protection over supplier incentives. The travel management fee is applied at the time of booking and supports our ongoing oversight before, during, and after your journey. We never charge the Travel Management Fee on air or travel components like hotels that already include commission.

Travel Investments & Budgets: Travel investments are always destination dependent, and vary by time of year, number of travelers, touring preferences, and length of trip. For this reason we do not have a minimum budget requirement and will assess each trip on an individual basis. However, Perspectives Travel client's investments generally start at $1,000 per person, per day, excluding airfare.
Hotel Only Bookings: There is no fee if you know what hotel you want to book, the dates of travel, and would like your stay VIP’d with complimentary amenities. Our preferred partnerships are with five star hotel brands and select 4 star and boutique hotel properties. You can also book a hotel here and we will VIP your stay and add complimentary preferred partner benefits.
Please note:
Rates are valid for up to 6 leisure travelers.
Groups of 7+ require a $900 deposit (6 hours of Research & Design) to begin work. There may also be minimum budget requirements for groups of 7+.
Corporate group travel is billed at the hourly rate of $150/hour with a minimum deposit of 4 hours.
100% of the rate is due upon hiring and is non-refundable.
When the payment is made, you will also be required to sign a terms and conditions agreement.
There are a few components of travel Perspectives Travel does not book including: home rentals on Airbnb, VRBO, hotels using loyalty or credit card points or miles, hotels that are not 4* or above, flights booked with credits, miles or points.
