Why collaboration is the most important part of your next trip

I’m just back from SmartFlyer CORE and feeling truly inspired! This years’ agency wide conference took place in London and while all four pillars of CORE (collaboration, originality, relationships, and education) were on display, the collaboration pillar is one of my personal favorites. I look at collaboration as a three prong approach… there’s collaborating with you, the client, with my trusted Smarties, and with my local experts. Let’s break it down ⬇️

Collaborating with clients- no two trips are ever the same, so it’s important to that I get to know you beyond just where you’re going and when. There’s a preference form to complete, a phone call to be had, lots of questions to ask, and a bit of reading between the lines to ensure that your trip is the realization of what you wished for.

Collaborating with my community- I’ve said for years that I’m an expert in my clients and not destination, so when you reach out about a destination that I personally haven’t been to, I tap into my @thesmartflyer community. And without fail for even the most far flung destination, someone has been there, sent clients there, lived there, or has the perfect partner to reach out to.

Collaborating with destination experts- my in destination partners and I are working together long before you see your first proposal. I’m sharing your client profile with them, and then we’re brainstorming and designing the trip that’s going to be the best fit for your goals. These are the folks who live and breathe the destination and know everything from the hot new bar to the best sunrise selfie spot.

After almost 5 years in the industry, I understand that it takes a village to make your travel experiences seamless, memorable, and stress free. Let’s collaborate on your next getaway and ensure that you’re getting a trip that’s as unique as you are!
